Dr. Thomas L. Wymer, 1938-2010

Tom awards the inaugural Thomas L. Wymer Award Undergraduate Senior Thesis Award to Katie Hoskinson

The Department of English was very saddened to learn that friend and colleague Dr. Tom Wymer passed away November 13 after a brief illness. Tom served the Department for 40 years in a variety of roles and brought endless good humor, collegiality and compassion to everything he did. Prayers and condolences to his family from everyone in East Hall.

Rhetoric & Writing Student Defends Dissertation

Meredith Graupner Hurley successfully defended her dissertation, Remediating the Professionalization of Doctoral Students in Rhetoric and Composition, September 27th, 2010.

Dr. Michael Winkelman gives Purim talk

Literature Instructor Dr. Michael Winkelman will be presenting a short talk on Renaissance drama, specifically on a sixteenth-century political allegory based on the Purim story, at the Northwest Ohio Jewish Book Fair, Sunday, November 14. It takes place at Temple Shomer Emunim, 6453 Sylvania Ave., Sylvania OH 43560, at 11:00 a.m. & admission is free.
