Poet Ann Townsend reads at Winter Wheat

Poet Ann Townsend is reading tonight as part of Mid-American Review‘s Winter Wheat Festival of Writing. Ann is the author of two collections of poetry: The Coronary Garden (2005) and Dime Store Erotics (1998), and Editor (with David Baker) of Radiant Lyre: Essays on Lyric Poetry (2008). She is also a founding member of VIDA: Women in Literary Arts, and serves on the Executive Committee of its Board of Directors. Ann is Dominic Consolo Professor of English and Director of Creative Writing at Denison University and lives on a small farm in Granville, Ohio.
The reading starts at 7:30 p.m. and is located in the Union Theater, which is in the southeast corner of the second floor of the Bowen-Thompson Student Union. Writes Ann, “Sex, death, wicked troubadour ladies, chainsaws, and more! If you’re in the neighborhood, come out and say hello.”
